Next Steps

The project team is evaluating public feedback on the alternatives to refine the concepts. They will then recommend a preferred design alternative to the Kelso City Council. After the preferred design has been selected, efforts will begin to secure funding.

In February of 2023, we began asking people who live, work, and travel through the area for input to inform our understanding of what contributes to traffic and congestion and help us identify potential solutions. The City of Kelso used a suite of engagement tools, including stakeholder interviews, targeted business outreach, online surveys, a public open house, a fact sheet, two mailers, a public workshop, and this online open house.

We heard from the community about your collective experiences, challenges, goals, and preferred design alternatives. Together, alongside a technical analysis, we will use this information to identify a preferred design alternative for the project corridor.
